Plain-language information about who you're booking with, how bookings work, and what to expect.
Ecuadorbirdingtours is operated by an independent, individually licensed National Tourist Guide, operating under Ecuador's Ministry of Tourism guide licensing framework [license number: to be added]. Your guide is not a registered travel agency or tour operator ("operadora de turismo" / "agencia de viajes") under Ecuadorian tourism law.
Your guide personally designs and guides every birding itinerary on this site. For multi-day trips, lodges, ground transportation and other logistics are coordinated with independent, appropriately licensed local providers (reserves, lodges, transport companies). Your guide is not the contracting operator of those third-party services; those providers are responsible for their own licensing, safety standards and service delivery.
Prices are quoted per trip based on your dates, group size and lodge category, and confirmed in writing before booking. Entrance fees, optional activities, meals marked "not included," alcoholic drinks, tips and personal expenses are the traveler's responsibility unless stated otherwise.
[Add your actual policy here: deposit to confirm, balance due a set number of days before the trip, and a cancellation window with partial or full refund depending on notice given.]
Ecuador's terrain ranges from high-altitude Andean páramo to remote Amazon rainforest. Your guide is trained in wilderness first aid and prioritizes safety on every tour, but travelers are strongly encouraged to carry their own travel and medical evacuation insurance, particularly for high-altitude and jungle activities.
